Shouldn't there be time limit for picking phase so counter picker wouldn't be in heavy disadvantage? Like you will have to first pick your hero in the first 15 seconds. It would be super easy for the picker just to wait for the very last second to pick eg. TA, forcing the opponent to random his/her hero.

well I will attend the tournament, although I have had some heavy connection issues lately.
It would also be really good if the Dev made 1v1 exclusive tournament map with picking order feature.

Which server are you going to use in this tournament?
It is very hard for US/EU players to fight together without latency problems.
