Ive come to the brewmaster round personally during the few tries i have had.
Soloing Single lane hard seems allmost like it is easier because u get more experience (dont u?!?).
You usually just want heroes that have an early game AoE damage source such as a nuke or cleave to take out the first two or three waves. Then after that you can let your item build carry you until you get to some of the later waves, in which you will need a hero that is capable of dealing a lot of damage to enemies or being able to survive all the damage being dealt.
The only real advantages to not being solo is the fact that you can be revived, and you can deal with enemies who like to go for the ancient rather than attack you easier.
