Suggestions to improve user experience (non-balance)
This is not a balancing thread.

Many features have been introduced into horde mode. However, the newer players would not have had a chance to read the patch notes containing details of such features. I feel these differences from regular dota should be noted down somewhere in the game (or forum).

To start off, the game should have an in-game explanation for the various difficulties. For example:

Easy : No bonus stats
Normal : Creeps gain x1 armour and 25% of their base damage
Hard : Creeps gain y1 armour and 50% of their base damage
Ultra : Creeps gain z1 armour, z2 magic resist and 100% of their base damage

The difficulty should be displayed somewhere in the game, not announced once. This can be in the form of a tooltip on creeps (simplest I believe), or some word hanging around somewhere or even a structure.


A manual somewhere should state exp and gold and shared amongst laners (or in a radius to be exact).


If the various areas around the map are not secret, they should be put in the manual or somewhere. For example, the kobold clearing which gives a lot of gold, the divine rapier ogre pit on easy/normal difficulties. The roshan pit at the top right of the map. The two (now defunct) runes spots along the river.


The various balances to items should be noted in the item description:
-Why does heart say taking damage disables it, and it does disable...something? But the regeneration stays.
-Orb of Venom and Eye of Skadi do not work on illusions
-A simple note that all auras stack should be stated on aura items.
