I and my friends(we normally play 3v3v3 mode, our average mmr is about 4.7k- 4.8k) have played overthrow for nearly 2 months and around 4 hrs per day. And we developed a lot op combos, also our win rate is around 90% or more perhaps. I noticed that there are always around 1500 players who are playing overthrow so i can say we raped most of them.
We developed bounty hunter with extremely one shot kill mode and brood mother with esay ks at beginning and powerful at late game. We also know how to counter them, it is easy just buy sentry at beginng and pick some strong heros to agressive attck them so they wont get any exps from the circe.
But for today's update, it is a compromise for weak players.
Here is the reason:
First of all, as we all know players play overthrow are the average skill of the whole dota, which means they DONT BUY SENTRY when they are getting raped. It is not about to shut some invis heros down but the key is to counter them at the very first period of time.
Second, Sentry time increased WONT change anything because they will be destroyed after we found out there is a sentry there, obviously it is easy to detected becasue players dont know how to take advantages of the true sights, they just use some spells to expose their sentry position but wont get any kill. Again, at average skill players always do that and i wont say it is lack of brian but obviously it is noob move.
Third, after the midification today, we already tried the new brood and bounty hunter. Well bounty hunter is completely done cause the cool down time is so long, but REMEMBER you cant just make him out of the game like this because now bounty hunter will never be picked in 2v2 or 1v1 mode. But he still got value at 5v5 combat. At the sametime, brood is still op in 2v2 and 3v3. Here i didnt mention riki because this hero will never win against us, becasue you will NEVER get lvl 6 before we are lvl 11 or so.
Last but not the least, nerf invis hero is just a boost for the weak players and it will make the dota society more toxic, because less and less players will buy sentries when you boost them which will reflect at the real dota game, I have checked the editor is the dota 2 official so I am pretty sure you know how important that is. Also there are other op heros you dont know, how about omni with aba in 2v2 mode? They are MONSTERS. How about enchant ultimate with only blademail and silencer encounter?
