Sun position
Hey man good work with the mod. I am currently attempting a mod of my own and was hoping you could give me a hand. I need to get the angle of the sunlight, and do some math with it. I can see and edit the euler angles for sunlight direction in modTools but I can't seem to find a function that retrieves the current angle of the sun. I was hoping you might know since you have experience with the sunlight. Thanks in advance and sorry about posting this here, it was the only way I knew how to contact you.

Hi colttenney. Thanks for checking out the mod. So the angle of the sunlight is the angle of the Unity "DirectionalLight" object. There's only one in the game. Just do a GameObject.Find("Directional Light").transform

Yes I plan on making those panels rotate to face the sun and also have these http://imgur.com/a/yOdMf panels rotate to accurately reflect the sun to the tower. Thanks for the snippet. Right now it seems the communities best aid comes from the community itself :)

That's realy cool I look forward to using them when I stop modding, and start playing again. Can you put scripts on assets? Or are you making a mod that works with the assets?

I dont know of a way to script assets but I'm designing the mod to work in conjunction with the assets. I'll have to make and upload a different solar panel asset that will work specifically with the mod.

I have Moving Sun and use your solar panels as my primary energy source and with that dynamic orientation it will be amazing.
