I feel the perks are severely lacking though, and need more than just simple stat changes to properly utilize Charlie. Reaching out to Mr. Tiddles would be a good idea as his mods are easily the best, especially when it comes to characters and unique features. I'd like to see Charlie having a black & white night vision (rendering her immune to the Grue, which makes since, since she IS the Grue) and perhaps a shadowy form during the night along with her damage bonus. A simple sanity drain is not enough to balance her, I'd recommend having hunger decrease faster overnight as a sort of bloodlust, and being severely weakened during the daylight, such as half damage. Aside from those, unique items in the magic crafting menu for her would be amazing to see, shadow type stuff. Her dialogue to them would be quite interesting to see since she witnessed William/Maxwell's downfall into darkness. Hope to hear back on your thoughts.
"Not a masochist!"
-Inmmunity to herself at night: That still means you need a light, because you won't be able to see at all otherwise AND you're sanity will still plumet while in the dark. In the end, the common nightmares will make short work of her during nighttime without light.
"Prepared for bad weather."
-Special Item "Charlie's Coat": Charlie's red coat she uses during her visit into Maxwell's home. Protection against rain, (either being partial or total)
"Was a magician's assistant."
-Inmunity (or reduction) to sanity loss caused by magical items: Since she's accostumed to work in envoirements where odd things happen, sticks with gems that shoot snowballs or fireballs don't really phase her at all.
"Lived in the shadows."
-Some special effect during fullmoon (?)
-Some interaction regarding Nightmare fuel (?)
No idea what could work, but maybe something could be done about those things.
Also i would take her time of the day perk a step further and changed her HP and sanity as well to the following values:
As night tme approaches she becomes stronger but also has a toll on her sanity, almost luring her back to her old animalistic self again.
During daytime she's collected, but frail. Caves are also considered night time forever.
Of course, these are all ideas and you'll accomodate these as your programming skills see fit, if you choose to do any at all, that is.
Such downside needs some upside. How about some sanity gain while being around Maxwell stuff? Like Teleportato, Maxwell's Door or his statue? If not then she could get extra sanity gain from flowery stuff like Garland and picking flowers. Evil flowers would then have no effect on sanity.
I kinda gotta say, I don't think I'll ever be getting rid of her dying due to the dark only because I believe strongly in a couple different reasons for that happening. (1. They exist in the dark, trying to take her back 2. We've seen instances in the game where there can be two of the same person in the same place) Sorry, I'm totally stubborn on that aspect, but only that aspect really. ;; Thank you for the ideas!
Oh, sweet! I'll have to take a look. Forgive me for my ignorance, but that'll be in the workshop, yeah? If not, could I get a link?
