I think maybe you need to allow the creature to react to being hit by the stinger initially and then apply damage a few times for poison effect after that, but not paralyse the creature and then do damage that visibly looks like they've been hit by another stinger or something.
Is there perhaps any way to set the health of the creature to health - damage instead of "damaging" the creature and causing that hit animation?
I maybe understand what you say.
I think also that poison damage animation is weird.
If another good animation is found, I will switch it to good one.
