Basics for Starting a Mission
Ok, I just started up a basic survival, built a firewall and started with /start. Nothing seems to be happening at all. I'm using the commands to get the count of AI and it shows 0.

Is there some other setup I should be doing?

@Delta99: It takes a while for the ai to spin up. Just like you it has to gather resources and it has build times. If you start the mod it takes about 20 to 30 minutes before the ai starts its first station. And about 5 minutes later its first scout will enter the world. This is so you can build up some defenses in survival mode. If you don't want to wait that long you can use /IncreaseAiSpeed to make things speed up. It is however not recommended to go higher then speed 10x

@wartank, thanks. After posting that I ended up waiting and things started happening. Maybe too much!! LOL.

I didn't really build many defenses at all as I was just seeing what it was about first.

I really like the concept. I'm thinking of creating a mission with some robotic miners I found on the workshop where your goal is to protect the miners as they go about doing there business and delivering supplies. Combined with your mod I think it would make an interesting "mission".

I'm extremely new to SE so how would I go about doing something like that with your mod. If I get a proof of concept going then I'll ask both you and the author of the mining drones for permission to use them in such a mission.

I'm a developer IRL so I'm might be interested in helping you guys with the mod too if you are still looking for help. Although my time is extremely limited right now but that could always change down the road.

@Delta99: Hey delta sorry for the very very late replay. Steam didn't notify me there was a new message so I found it by pure change.

I'm unfamileur with the mod about the mining drones. I havn't seen the mod and I don't know the author although its a interesting concept. Mods are free to use from the workshop so if the mining drone mod and sector 15 are able to load togheter in the same map there is nothing preventing you from playing in there.

As for development: We are always looking for new programmers who know what they are doing. Right now I'm the only programmer working actively on this mod and that honestly is quite a bit of work so any help is welcome. If your interested in joining up then please consider that you should know a bit about C# (as the whole mod is written in that langauge) and that it relies heavy on LINQ. I'll send you a friend request so we can have a chat if you are still interested in joining up.

@Wartank, accepted your friend request. I don't know how much time I'll have and I'm refreshing my C# skills playing around writing some small stuff in the programming block. After stumbling around with the massively outdated modAPI docs on Steam and on their wiki I discovered that they are actually published with the game and stored locally on my drive. What a waste of time it was attempting to get things working looking at the outdated docs!!! I have no idea why they leave them up in both places.

Anyway, when we are online one day we can discuss. I don't know what sort of time I'll have if any to help out much but will to just see if getting something like I'm thinking is doable.

@Delta99: Yes I saw you adding me. Poke me whenever your online and we can have a chat bout the complexity of the code and your skill level. I'm pretty sure we can find some tasks matching your skill level as, to be honest, I'm currently overloaded with things that need to be done on the mod. So any help is welcome ;)
