House Tradition Suggestions
There were some houses that I had a hard time choosing a single tradition for, and I'm willing to hear out any argument for changing them so let me know here!

Also let me know if you have any suggestions for houses you want added to the list.

Hey great submod patch! so a few things:

First of all I haven't played with the submod yet so I don't know the tradition names that have been changed/formated differently except respect being authority and survival being perseverance after reading the dev's disccusions lol. still have no clue what distinction and freedom corralate to. I also counted you listed 70 houses so if you did 90 it's missing 20 more in the description. You also seem to have Manderly twice by mistake under North and Iron Islands with fortune and vengence. Both fit canonically to Wyman lol but fortune makes more sense as a whole for their history. I think you also accidently swaped Velaryon's and Celtigar's traditions with distinction and fortune.

In terms of changes I'd argue that Mormont sould be vigilance (Here we stand), Sunderland maybe vigilance too(we don't know much about them but seems more fitting for Sistermen), Clegane Duty, Banefort Guile (their sigil), Targ and Blackfyre Pride works but Power is better imo, Celtigar Fortune, Stokeworth Devotion, Martell Justice or Joy, Jordayne Wisdom (for smth different), Santagar Compassion or Justice (for smth different) and Toland Vigilance or Truth. Those are all based on the books or general vibes.

Lastly I think if you're planning to add more try to diversify some of the traditions that you barely or never use like authority, guile, perseverance, peace, Knowledge, truth, wisdom, devotion, family, compassion and joy. I mainly play the later bookmarks with the more bookmarks mod cause I like the latest timeline the best and would love to see traditions for new/newish houses like Blackwater (Bronn), cadet Baratheons, Seaworth, Thenn of Karhold and the like.
Also Farwynd and Botley should be added as you don't have much in the Iron Islands - maybe with the Fortune and Justice traditions respectly, and fan favorite Forrester and Whitehill should be added to the North - maybe with the family and pride traditions. Sorry for the long comment btw lol

ah yeah, some of the names are different arent they? I'll go over the list later and replace them with how they appear in-game to avoid confusion. "Distinction" is just "Distinction" in game, it was a recent one for the new eccentric trait whenever that was added.

Freedom is "Free Spirit" in-game and it's pretty hard to get, I still haven't worked out exactly the qualifications of getting it to show but it seems to be having a mix of very different traits, it doesnt encourage or discourage specific traits and instead focuses on individualism and independance. I thought it was very fitting for house Martell.

You're probably right on the house count, I must have been including some I edited out before posting. Mostly extinct houses but I thought people would prefer to be able to chose their own in case they chose an extinct house with the house customiser trait. I also did originally include the new Baratheon houses but I don't play with extra bookmarks and they don't seem to actually be in use currently (maybe saving it for when theyre ready for war of the 5 kings?) I don't know off the top of my head how many of the new houses are included in the base mod files but I can check and add them in, I hadn't actually considered they may have use in other submods.

For Manderly I seem to have mixed them up with house Merlyn in the Iron Islands section, I'll correct that when I get a chance.

I was wanting to diversify the traditions but I also wanted to try and be accurate to my understanding of the general personalities of the houses. One example of an area where I did this was house Celtigar, I originally had as fortune but it felt saturated in the crownlands so I looked for alternatives that still fit. See my problem.. Though I gave fortune to the Velaryons for their port markets on driftmark Fortune may fit Celtigar better than it fits Velaryon and they could do with swapping

I did consider power for the Targs, I liked the ambition and wrath but was less sold on impatient. But with Pride I liked ambition, arrogance, and wrathful. Though thinking of it now I do think power might be a better fit for the Blackfyres.

Likewise for Mormont I also considered vigilence but honest, just, and stubborn seemed a better fit than diligent, patient, and paranoid (though diligent is good)

For Clegane I'm not sure I see the fit for duty? Diligent yes, impatient maybe, humble no? Duty also discourages Ambitious which I feel may be good for Cleganes (especially their father).

Basically when choosing the tradition I tried to make sure at least two of the three encouraged traits rang true to what we see of them in canon. This was harder for the less focused houses and I often had to settle for one.

I do like Sunderland being vigilant, and I'll take a look at the new houses you suggested. Don't worry about the long post, I am not infallible and its good to have other perspectives!

Hey man sorry for the late reply been busy with work. I saw you updated your list and took most of my suggestions so thank you for that :)

You actually convinced me on your og rational for every tradition lol, the thing is when I first thought of them I was taking them at face value and didn't read yet the traits they correlated to, but now I have a better idea of what everything means. For example when talking about tradition diversity fortune makes perfect sense for both Velaryon and Celtigar but they don't all need to be that just cause of their history. Distinction fits house Velaryon too cause they had a lot of eccentric characters throughout history. I'd still like to convince you of three you didn't change: For Jordayne wisdom simply for diversity while still fitting them (sigil and house words), for Banefort guile for their sigil and historic rep, and for Stockworth devotion for their sigil, house words 'proud to be faithful' and their characters being sheepish and Lannister loyalists (Tanda, Lollys, Falyse).

Also this might be a lot but while I'm here might as well search the asoiaf wiki and find all the rest of the houses I think I can reasonably suggest lol (along with a small explanation if I can, some just for tradition diversity) -
