Umbral
My Thoughts on the Map
"Umbral" is atmospheric and detailed Gmod horror map that does a great job of immersing players through its chilling environments, subtle storytelling, and multiple hidden endings. The snowy exterior, eerie underground facility, and unsettling silence all work together to build a tense, immersive experience. The inclusion of multiple paths and solutions—like using the crane, stacking objects, or breaking ice—adds a welcome layer of player freedom. The various endings, especially the secret ones like the baby doll or the looping corridor, give the map a lot of replay value and depth. That said, some objectives can feel a bit obscure without the walkthrough, and the pacing might overwhelm first-time players who aren't sure where to go.

Overall, "Umbral" is a creative, well-executed horror experience that rewards patient, curious players, and with sound designs and a few tweaks for clarity and pacing, it could be even stronger.

Solid 8/10 for me.

The monster looks and sounds like us. Because man is the warmest place to hide.
