make a folder inside your garrysmod addon folder where you downloaded the game, inside that folder, make a folder called sound, and inside of that sound folder, make another folder called "dodlmsthemes". place your music files in there. the sample rate has to be 44.1 kHz, and either wav, ogg (i think ogg works i forgot), or mp3, then either restart your garrys mod, or type reload_legacy_addons in the console, then load into a game.

yeah, your friends need the same audio file, in relatively the same directory, you can make your music pack an addon to make this easier if you want

not quite, theres should be another folder before sound

it should end up like this

GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\[call this folder whatever you want]\sound\dodlmsthemes\[any ost].wav/ogg/mp3
