I have added these mods to this collection and so offer them up as suggestions:
Ambitious Conquest War & its For Kings+ sister mod: They just really help keep things active and adds some challenges.
Duel Overlay: Nice QoL mod
Wandering XP from Wandering: Lovely mod that I think adds a lot of immersion. Go on lots of pilgrimages and earn Wandering XP.
Valyrian Houses: adds more dragonlord houses to join
AGOT Music++: Adds music from the shows
AGOT+ - Purple Eyes Restoration: Fixes the eyes of Valyrians to actually be purple.
I'll check out Ambitious conquest war & its for kings+ as well as duel overlay and wandering xp from wandering. As for the other mods, Valyrian Houses and AGOT+ - Purple Eyes Restoration were mods I looked into but decided against. Specifically Valyrian Houses I'm against cause it looks ugly to just have a debug option that lets you choose any Valyrian House and doesn't really add anything substantial enough for me though that's what I got and if there's anything else about it that makes it worth it to you and I'll check it out again. Purples Eyes Restoration was more of a didn't care for it as I'm more used to seeing valyrians as just pale and white haired from the show though I am open to this mod if you really want it as it makes no difference to me. Lastly AGOT Music ++ would conflict with the already in place AGOT Melodies which already adds 40 tracks to the game that match the theme of AGOT. I can make it optional to choose however if you want. Or if they're not incompatible then both is fine.
For Valyrian Houses, I like it for mostly RP reasons. So like in my current run, I am playing right after the Doom. so having an easy way to start up a relatively custom dragonrider house without having to go through all the console commands and whatnot was just nice. And some of them have custom swords and armor so that is kinda cool. There is also one for a Stark Dragonriding House(Which is prolly my next Skagos Tall run).
Purple Eyes is similar to I just like it for RP reasons.
And AGOT Music++ is compatible with Ruin, and tbh my biggest draw was that It also replaces the main menu theme with the iconic Game of Thrones opening theme. Nothing like that theme right as you are finally done waiting for the game to load to really hype you up. lol
Anyways, I am just throwing suggestions out. Don't feel pressured to add anything on my account, I am already playing with them added to my list. So no skin off my nose if'n you decide not to add. <3
How can I say no to more rp options lol? I got you. I'll add the Valyrian House, Purple Eyes, and Music++ as well as wandering xp. However, for duel overlay it doesn't really match the rest of the game well so I'll opt for AGOT: Battlefield Duel which adds actual lore and dragons and the like into the battles. For the Ambitious Conquest War & its For Kings+ sister mod, I've decided against as the casus belli makes no sense in the AGOT universe as if anybody who was ambitious could just declare war on others then the entire purpose of the Iron throne would be useless. It essentially makes ambitious characters tribal and undermines the whole aspect of legitimacy and claims. Maybe Aggressive AI might work better but even then I see no point to it.
I wanted to ask your opinion about the following mods and whether they'd be a good fit for adding to the AGOT experience:
Oathbound
Adventurer's Beneficiary
Adventurers Don't BANKRUPT The Realm
All of the above mods are created by the same person, Nye. I'm mostly interested in Oathbound but feel that the other two mods would complement the first one well, which Nye probably intended.
