Blowout
Add megaton's explosion and apply it to the whole map when a round ends. Also map could be better.
For an oilrig map for Slopshore's garbage event by sloporium's tf2 creation monopoly, its not bad.

Suggestions:
-Put oilspills that you can slip on using the banana.
-Megaton's big explosion when round ends, like deepwater horizon (seriously I made a better oilrig map thats more interactable)
-Allow more open areas to be thrown off the map. There are no guard rails on oilrigs, you should be able to be airblasted off.
-Crumpkins reskinned as oil barrels
-That weird bridge divot thing right at spawn, flatten it out, there's no need.
-Add alarms when round ends in 30 seconds
-Various objects/places on fire to show two teams FIGHTING for the oil rig. Also can set fire to player.

If the giant saws put the saw in sawmill, put the blowout in blowout, or rather oil in oilrig.

Oil Spills
Yes, I will be adding those, slip on them? no. The banana on Mannhattan uses a push trigger to "slip" players into the Grinder, if I'm gonna have oil details on the map, I wouldn't want them to get in the way of player movement.

Megatons explosion
Not possible. Megatons assets are not publicly available, and even if they were, I could not legally credit those assets after the map has already been added. Extracting them from Megaton is Illegal. The map already has an explosion and oil spurt particles, and I think they work well enough. A oilrig blowout would not cause a mushroom cloud anyway I don't think?

Death-pits
Death-pits on this map are, unfortunately, not possible without major restructuring, its a technical reason. Trust me I wish I could have them too, but the water is in the skybox, and thus separate from the main gameplay space, if someone was to fall to their death their corpse would bash against skybox, wouldn't look that great...
Also, real oil rigs do have guard rails, workplace safety and all. If you want an Oil-rig with death pits to air-blast people off, Demolition was also added to the game!

Exploding Barrels
I do not want Halloween hazards on a year round map, even if they're reskinned.

Divot
I don't actually know what you're referring to here, could you be more specific?

Alarms
Good idea, will do. I've been wanting to add custom sounds for the Blowout Preventer, Explosion and other things anyway, so this is on my to-do list.

Places on Fire
I don't know how I feel about setting people on fire, but we can look into making the rig look more dangerous.



Over all you've suggested to add 4 different hazards to the map.
- Oil spills that impede player movement
- Death Pits
- Exploding Barrels
- Fire Damage
I don't exactly know what all these things would do to improve the map, imo, having all these things at the same time would turn it into a bit of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, ideally, you'd have players fighting each other, and not the map.
The map already puts "Blowout" into "Blowout" with the Blowout Explosion featured in the finale. If you don't think its bombastic enough we can look into that.
