Oathbound
[Possible Bug] Issue with character deaths
At some point, in a multiplayer savefile, all deaths stopped working properly. It prevented people with deceased wives from remarrying. And every time a married character died, Oathbound spewed out an error, 3 times:

Script system error! Error: scope:actor.var:val_oathholder trigger [ Failed context switch ] Script location: file: common/character_interactions/oathbound_sway_vassal_interaction.txt line: 19 (oathbound_sway_vassals_interaction:is_shown)

I'm not entirely sure if this is actually the cause, correlation does not mean causation, after all, but it does look strange, to be fair. And it is likely not intended behaviour for a context switch to fail like that.

The mod worked great otherwise, and added some pretty neat flavour to the adventurer (especially mercenary) playstyle :)

Yes, that is strange. I'll look into the logic. Weirdly, in my hundreds of hours playing with Oathbound, I've never once run into a problem! Are you able to start that game back up but remove Oathbound to see if it fixes it?

We did have some other mods installed, it might have something to do with that.

Removing the mod fixed *some* occasions with newly created marriages, but already married characters were still subject to the issue. It might very well not have anything to do with Oathbound... It's just that it was the only source of errors on character death, and although my modding knowledge is pretty limited, it might be a good idea to check if the context you're switching to actually exists before doing so, even if it doesn't theoretically cause any issues.

If you have any advice on debugging to find out what criteria were not being met for the character being able to marry, I'd be very grateful.

Thank you for your effort

Yes that error shouldn't be happening obviously, but I don't think oathbound alone could cause this specific issue. I think there might be a weird interaction happening across a few mods here that have broken things for you.

I've never had anything close to this happen and I've never had anyone else describe an issue like this.

To find out which mod is causing the issue, it would just be the painful process of removing one at a time until it works again

Yeah, I figured. Thanks a lot for the help though :)
