LocaleFolder = Creature All-Stars
ModFolder = Creature All-Stars
these entries do not match the mod folder and locale folder name, I think these should look like this?:
LocaleFolder = ic allstars
ModFolder = ic allstars
But it just so happens that with the last update (1.12) I started to upload it with an empty ".sgm" archive file to cut down on the download size...
Since this mod depends on the 2 mods being installed, I am wondering if this might be the issue from my side... whops?
I am not familiar with how this dependency works, but if that is the case I will probably restart uploading the ".sgm" as a full archive again.
You might need to download the latest DinoDawn from ModDB:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/dino-dawn/downloads/dino-dawn-112-the-remix
Make sure dinodawndata.sga is in your base IC folder.
Let me know if this fixes your issue!
You know how to fix it so it shows up? I am not very bright so I don't know where these files are and if just renaming them would fix it
Also quick edit, I assume they are supposed to be in the steamlibrary location that shows up when you look for the local files? Cause if that's the case, the mod downloads nothing into there for some reason
the files should appear in your main IC folder, for example:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Impossible Creatures
to "fix" the issue of mod not showing up, you would need to copy these 4 mod items in a separate location:
- ic allstars (folder)
- allstars.dll
- allstars.module
- ic allstars (localisation folder) - found in:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Impossible Creatures\Locale\English
then unsubscribe from the mod, and launch the game so the old mod files are deleted.
then place the saved 4 mod items back manually and open the "allstars.module" file, thats where you need to change those 2 lines:
from:
LocaleFolder = Creature All-Stars
ModFolder = Creature All-Stars
to:
LocaleFolder = ic allstars
ModFolder = ic allstars
and it should appear in your mod selection menu.
Generally it would be better if the mods author would update the files tho.
Might be more simple to just move the dino creature files into the new mod files directly, like its done with CC and other creatures.
So for some reason no matter how many times I downloaded it with the workshop nothing was added.
In fact I had to use some fancy program to download the mod manually and place the files there
However, after that I just followed your steps and it worked, so thanks!
I will post a install guide on ModDB soon enough, so keep an eye on our page:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/creature-allstars/
Yeah I'm looking forward to one then, am kinda tech illiterate so please keep it simple

Hope it helps! Feedback is welcome!
