MOD NOT WORKING? READ THIS!
Hi everyone, if you have any issues with the mod, please ask here. This way, we can gather all the information about the issues, which might help others in the future.


IMPORTANT! My mod will likely conflict with other mods that make changes to the same shops as I used or to all shops in the game. Since my mod uses shops that are already in the game, it may still work if you use Vortex and load my mod after them. However, be aware that the shops modified by my mod will not include the changes from the other mods.

Since there is no way to manage mod load order in steam or in the base game, I recommend using Vortex mod manager. Like that you can make sure my optional mod load after the main mod or they won't work.

If you use Vortex to manage mods. It creates a 'mod_order.txt' file in the KCD2 mods folder, and any mods not listed there will not load.

So if you install a mod manually or from SteamWorkshop, open Vortex and the list will update by itself, then you can close it. You can check the "load order" menu on the left side of the app. All mods, even those not from Nexus, should be listed.


Test this one without other mods. If it works, add the other mods one by one to identify which one causes the conflict.

If it conflict with another mod. There is no solution on Steam to fix this. You will have to choose between the conflicting mods.

Or you could use Vortex (mod manager from Nexus), which lets you edit the load order directly in the app. Loading my mod after the conflicting one should resolve the issue, since my mod use PTF(Patched Tables Files). To sum up, my mod mostly adds new entries and doesn't overwrite core game data, so it maximizes compatibility.


One last thing, crashes can obviously happen in the base game. So try testing without any mods, and if it still crashes, it might be an in-game issue, especially if it happens at a specific moment or when doing something specific.


But I’m not saying my mod is free of errors, so let me know if it conflicts with a specific one.

One issue I have is with the "Visors always" for Lys gear not working, like at all, I've reinstalled the mod, restarted kcd2, tried different saves, nothing, and I only use steam workshop

You will need the Vortex mod manager. Sometimes, Steam seems to load the optional mod 'Visors Always Down' before the main mod, which prevents it from working. I’ve included more details in the information above.
