First of all, I want to say I have already played a couple of 1v1 Rapierball games and it was real fun. First, we picked Morphling vs. Storm Spirit, naively thinking that Waveform and Zap would help. Then, we picked Meepo vs. Ember Spirit, and that was a much more entertaining match. Now, the bugs:
· I don't know if it is intended, but Roshan gets easily stuck if you get him out of his grove. Just make him chase you and go uphill, and he will try to come back in a straight line, staying immobile and unresponsive for the rest of his life there. Now, if you are a melee hero you are basically screwed if you wanted to kill him, because you won't be able to attack him from outside his cave, but if you are a ranked hero you practically have a free Aegis. It is exploitable but not broken, because if both players know there can be nice strategies about it, but maybe that was intended.
· Following this... The Aegis. This game mode wasn't probably made to get an Aegis, first of all. If you pick the Aegis while having the Rapier, you won't lose it after dying. You will be reborn in 3 seconds as usual, but any banned skills you had (Waveform, Zap, Poof...) because of carrying the rapier will be unlocked now AND you will get gold again as if you weren't carrying it. Finally, if you reach the fountain and let yourself die to score after being reborn thanks to the Aegis... you won't score! The game will tell you have dropped the Rapier, but you won't score. Maybe I deserve that for abusing the Roshan bug, maybe it was intentional, then again, maybe not. I wonder what happens with Wraith King's ultimate.
Nevertheless... it was awesome! Keep up the good job! I look forward to playing a 5v5 game, so if you are interested message me.
Nice! I'm glad to hear someone is enjoying it - though it's intended to be played with a team!
Thanks for the bug reports, I'll have a look at them this weekend.
We'll be running a 6+ player game at the weekend to test performance, if you join the DoTheGames group you'll get a notification for the event!
Hope to see you there
