I was taking a friend through rainworld for the first time using meadow, which has been great! That is, up until we came into garbage wastes, where it was bugged in a way I've never seen before. There's proto rot covering the place in weird ways that don't show up in any other campaign. I did some enabling and disabling of mods and narrowed it down to Meadow.

• We are doing the survivor campaign
  
• The mods I have enabled are More Slugcats Expansion, Save File Names, Unlimited Saves, Rain Meadow, and Rainworld Remix in that order
  
• The Watcher DLC is installed but not enabled
  
• Upon entering garbage wastes, I (the host) am the only one who can pass through. My friend is stuck in an infinite loop at the gate where she's trapped and it won't open the second half. We also end up desynced and can't see each other. (tried multiple times)

• The rot stays in both meadow and in single player
  
• Disabling meadow makes the rot disappear. Reenabling brings it back.
  
• The only thing I haven't tried is disabling the two save file mods. I'm a little worried about if that will delete all my saves, but I can try it if I need to.
  
• Both my friend and I have done the steam file validation. It still did this afterwards.
