Shell phase 1 and The Shattered One lose health and dies

When i spawn Shell and TSO they lose their health bar until they die . If i disable their passive skills (Taking hold of my esistence and Shattered) , the healthbar doesn´t reduce. Is it meant to be this way or is a bug?
