Long process actually, I can't find any existing .obj file for the CS:GO karambit on the web but I found this .stl file which was meant for 3D printing. Luckily it's supported in Cinema 4D and I painted it there, edited the layers in Photoshop, and that's it. The rest is pretty much standard. Like export the .tga, generate the .vtf. Had to upload it in workshop as a USP-S skin though since there are no model files in workshop for the Karambit.

Things are different with this Karambit. There are no .obj, .psb or .mtl files to start with. Here's the link to the .stl file: https://www.mediafire.com/?4f96ybvntqupc1q

You can open that in Cinema 4D or any other modeling software that supports it and work from there. I won't spoonfeed you through this, you have to figure it out like I did :P

You know, just for the fact that someone actually went through all this to skin a knife should get it accepted in game.

Good luck with it, mate.

Well you shouldn't upload these to workshop, since they get removed and flagged as incompatible with the game.

Valve hasn't made it possible to upload knife skins to Workshop. Yet.

The popularity of your skins would stop volvo from removing skins because of the bad reviews they would get.

Oh, i'm clueless when it comes to 3D stuff. I used the psb files in Apex's tutorial and done it from there.
Dont bother, Valve dont let knives in anyway so no point in going through the effort!. Just make gun skins, something they actually might put in

quick question. How did you export the knife with textures to be used in workbench on cinema 4d?
