Domination wishlist!
EDIT2: My wishlist has been mostly implemented, just missing a couple of items. I had fun coding this stuff. Hopefully someone else will have fun with it too. :)

EDIT: I am working on some of these but I'm not a strong Arma scripter. However I've managed to figure out some of my own wishlist and submitted pull requests in Github.


It's Christmas Day in 2018 and Domination is still going strong! Right now there is approximately 50 active players. That's not as big as the latest AAA title from Electronic Arts but it's still a strong playerbase!

I realize the Domination is somewhat limited by Bohemia Interactive's development of Arma itself. However I continue to call Domination my favorite game mode and hope to see more in the future!

So since it's Christmas... Xeno, here is my Domination wishlist!!!

* Zeus integration (for admins) completed
* Ability to teleport vehicles to FARP (vehicles sometimes stranded on base ie-- Malden)
* Configurable cooldown timer for artillery strikes (sometimes I just want to see the world burn!) completed
* Enemy AI take position in buildings (already a module for this?) completed
* Civilians in various areas, maybe a penalty for injuring/killing civilians, a bonus for helping them mostly complete
* Civilian structures in various areas, maybe a penalty for destroying them (ie-- penalty for wreckless arty) mostly complete
* Configurable amount of daylight/night, would love 23 hours of daylight :) With Zeus available to admins, it's possible to use the time module to fast forward time.
* CAS and laser guided artillery should kill a tank (recent tank DLC makes CAS and laser bombs ineffective)

So that's my wishlist, my hope and dream list for Domination. I can't code the Arma engine but I try to donate when I can.

Anyway thanks for such an awesome mission Xeno! Hope to see version 3.999999 some day graduate to version 4!

For reference, the player count for Domination right now is 93 players which is still impressive for an old game. There are dozens of us!

Wow I just checked... there are 40 people playing Arma2 Domination right now. :)

I just posted more updates to fulfill my wishlist. Includes garrisoned enemy units with a script by
Zenophon, civ kill punishment and other stuff. I'm really enjoying the code layout for Domination and I've been able to improve my Arma coding a bit.

I added a few more changes to include more configurable civilians and spawn the first capture camp near the center of town. This draws the players into the town streets where enemy can occupy windows and balconies along with the random scared civilian. Fun stuff. :)

Maybe I'll implement some of my personal domi hacks into the git version some day. Most of it is just not coded properly to work with every subversion of domination, like TT or other maps :/
Others is proprietary stuff like custom voiceovers for calls like artillery, drones, drops and so on that I can't upload.
Also cleaned up and completely reworked all the sidemission scripts, like every single one of them, to an easy-to-read-and-modify template system. Damn, I wish I had more time to do this properly.
Its all there, artillery strike missions, boat captures, ICBM threats, search a roque drone... My community is very creative in inventing crazy sidemissions.

I can't say this enough, thank you Xeno (and ofc all the other contributors) for this masterpiece of Arma history. I can only guess how many hours that must have taken to code and test.

Ok, I just created one more small commit in Github. I'm happy with the result. Time to get back to playing for a while!
