Changes With the Ogre Update
I wanted to make this post to communicate what's been happening.

The Ogre Update had made significant changes to the infrastructure of the base game. And that had affected the functionality of this mod. Some features were broken or completely missing. And in particular, it appeared that the developers had broken the color-matching for even the base-game banner colors.

In response to these changes, I've made the difficult decision to completely remake this mod from scratch. This endeavor took a lot of time and effort, and it has made significant changes to the infrastructure of this mod. Additional colors have been added, and color-matching for existing colors has been adjusted.

Additionally, rather than attempting to fix the broken color-matching of the base-game colors, I've decided to simply make those colors unavailable to the player. Those colors should still be available to AI factions, and I've created modified duplicates of those colors for use by the player. This will give me more control over the color-matching between the base-game colors and my own original colors.

As a result of these changes, user-generated content may be altered or missing. I understand that this may be an inconvenience, but I believe that it was the best choice given the limited options available.

As always, I hope that you'll enjoy my mods, and I appreciate your support.

Hello Hudson,
While I understand the need to dismiss the base game's colour matching, this solution may reintroduce an issue that Age of Colors had: It is possible for two factions to have the same colour in the same game, if one has the base game's version and another has your version. Unless you've changed all the base game's factions to use your set of colours, the only way for users to avoid this issue is to handpick enemy factions every game. I don't know the right solution, and I've been quite saddened to see that the developers did not care as much for colour matching as you did, but this issue is what drove me off Age of Colors in the first place.

Hi Guilu,
I understand your point. And I completely agree with you.
My original implementation of this mod was the correct method.
And I fully intended to preserve as much of the base-game content as possible.
But the base-game content has been terribly implemented.
So much so that to implement this mod any other way would be messy.
This was by far the best solution, but I agree that this is not ideal.
And perhaps it was an impulsive and emotional decision.
I will continue to meditate on this problem and post any additional updates.
