Vanilla Remastered Troubleshooting
Please note! I cannot fix glitches without knowing the exact source of the problem, 90% of glitch reports are the result of incorrect installation or using incompatible mods. I also cannot fix glitches in mods which I did not make myself.

There are also a massive number of glitches in Kenshi which cannot be fixed due to FCS limitations, particularly AI glitches.

-----Verified Glitches (Known Cause)-----
-Building Collision Fix: Doesn't allow ceiling lights to be built in Y Houses. Essential mod that fixes more glitches than it causes however.

-Lively Bars: "Bar Stool 3" sets hunger rate to 0%.

-HHI Character Retexture: Glowing Skeleton eyes not showing up when used alongside Performance Fix.

-----Verified Glitches (Unknown Cause)-----
-Something is making Fishmen playable and adding them to the Hive subrace (Hotfixed by my patch Unplayable Vanilla Subraces.)

-Community Part Map + YAKNM: Some armor combinations are bugged and have invisible boxes. Please report any specific armors which have issues.

-----Vanilla Kenshi Glitches / Limitations-----
-Shadows will display a checkerboard pattern after spending a long time in-game without quicksaving / loading.

-City architecture mods + Distant Towns mode will display an inaccurate mesh when first approaching a town: Usually updates after the town has been loaded in once during the play session, no way to fix due to engine limits.

-Distant Towns mode LODs rarely don't un-load when entering a city. Can be fixed by disabling Distant Towns mode, quicksaving your game, loading your game, then re-enabling Distant Towns mode.

-When using town override mods (Reactive World, etc.) residents will not allow buildings to be sold if the town is not set to one of three types (Town_Town, Town_Village, or Town_Outpost). Town overrides will only update the town type the first time a city is loaded in, saving/loading will cause it to revert to the original town type. Importing your save will update the map icons and town type.

-2D collision boxes / navmesh cutter doesn't always load on foliage and stone when entering a new area, sometimes allowing characters to clip into objects. Can be fixed by restarting the game.

-Alpha clipping functions inconsistently, causing certain trees to appear without leafs and certain bushes to become invisible sometimes. Is only sometimes fixed by restarting the game.

-Rocks which use terrain textures will mismatch biomes when traveling long distances, either not correctly updating their textures or color data. Can be fixed by restarting the game.

-Sometimes city gates cannot be walked through when first approached. Most common when first approaching a location or after importing the game. Close the gate and let the guards re-open to fix.

-Rarely player characters will stop automatically doing any jobs whatsoever. Can occur in copies of Kenshi which have been installed for a very long time, re-installation is the only solution in this niche circumstance.

-Moving a player character to a different squad while being targeted by enemy NPCs can cause the enemies to become neutral.

-Typo, Melee defense misspelled as "Melee defence" in lots of places, including on the stat screen and in the code itself.

-United Cities Samurai Police will occasionally attack obedient slaves who get out of their cage with the "Following Master" job.

-"Delivering Slaves" AI behavior sometimes gets stuck wandering in circles around a city.

-No training weapon is displayed during some training dummy animations (Assassination Dummy II).

-NPCs can become trapped in a loop infinitely attacking a sleeping character in a bed.

-Scrawny Cannibal squads in Dreg can get stuck "Standing Still", my theory is it's due to being a homeless squad and having nowhere to take captives.

Did everything by instruction: purged my old mods + clean new game + nexus + grabbed collection from here + load order.
Problem: blue texture for body skin on some characters. At least Flotsam Ninjas are like this, because I started as a slave from Rebirth, and there were no such thing.

Nevermind: fixed by restarting the game.

Only 2 oddities so far.
1st : Ran to Mongrel... couldnt go through one of the gates. Got my team right up to it and it was like the gate was a wall.
2nd : Put one of my girls to sleep. She didnt lay down. Just stood there sleeping upright.

Am only running your modlist. Followed step by step. Nothing game breaking but the mongrel thing i guess (Just ruins the constant raids by fogmen)

For the gate did you try closing it and letting the guards reopen it? This bug is common and happens in vanilla too

As for the sleeping that sounds like an animation bug, i will look into it. It is either wakigawas animation overhaul or immersive non combat animations

The gate problem ended up fixing itself. Not certain how. Just started a new game, went to get the legendary Beep and the gate problem wasnt there anymore.

i believe it is caused by either Wakigawas animation overhaul or Immersive Non Combat Animation. haven't had time to test yet

I'm having a major issue, the buildings in towns seem to be duplicated and extras are thrown in that can be gamebreaking. I made backups before the mods but I'm in the middle of destroying the HN. Each town has extra buildings and I've gotten around it by using my units to pick each other up, but now theres an extra wall inside the bigger walls of that fort on the north end. I tried Shift+12 and playing witht he navmesh and even moving the buildings, but they're locked. Please help.

re-read the installation instructions you missed a step.

import your save with "import buildings" un-checked.

I followed the installation steps exactly and everything works great, the only problem is that my figure has cracks, do you know what causes this?

This is caused by Native Stylize having outlines or SSAOD turned on, they can be disabled in your graphics settings in the pause menu.

im having the same issue and "import buildings" un-checked. is not fixing the issue any suggestions?

went to the city shift f12 to so if its any other mods altering the city "Adventurers Guild" was :steamfacepalm: removed and all it well again thank you lord crunk for the hard work on the mod pack :steamhappy:
