I stand by my review and will replay this a lot more eventually and I could be wrong that there isn't one, but if there isn't a Crab Rave reference then I stand corrected and this is a 0/10 campaign.
Joking, but seriously, where is the Crab Rave man??
That was the intention brother, gonna be totally honest with you as I was on the review, I'm f__ng tired of the hipocrates never giving a 10 out of 10 when it's deserving and on this case it is fully deserving of a (G)olden 10/10 rating, that was my intention, as I said I never get the patience to learn how to map or at the very least give it a try so seeing someone like you coming out with a banger like this campaign fully deserve the truth instead of someone holding back. Of course, preferences are preferences, but as a hard work of art that you made, objectively speaking, it's incredible!
Hard working folks like you are the ones that makes the world spin in a good way, thanks for everything you did brother, God bless you, you deserve everything good coming at you an even more! Lots of people may not post reviews or do a full run down of why they loved it but to anyone that at the very least enjoys anything related to the Backrooms or Dream/Weirdcore can instantly love this campaign, specially if they go out of their way to use the right mods with it!
Thanks man, much appreciated that you will keep this in mind, really kind of you ^^
About the crabs...brooooooooooo really?! Amazing! xD...so far I had replayed it 3 times from start to finish and I'm still noticing some new stuffs and paths I haven't done yet but this one I haven't found yet, gonna take my time this time to find it :D
Glad my review cheered you up because your campaign, and now your time to had replied to me now, also cheered me a lot!
Cheers brother, the hype for Anemoia 2 is real over here for me and with my buddies, they also loved the campaign!
Btw, about the executable, bro, you didn't had to go that further mile and you went! I only found that today...took me a couple of runs to understand what you did on [Redacted]. Allthough I could not finish it yet because I got stuck on the dark void part, still trying to figure it out, idk if I need to wait it out or just keep going...but holy molly man I wasn't expecting that level of deication more than of what I had seen...incredible!
If you also can, or is willing to, actually make even more NPCs like you did the ones in [REDACTED] that actually move and interact with the map and the players with all of the other ones from the Backrooms/Dreamcore from example Kitty , the bacteria from Kane's Complex, the smileys being actual enemies instead of just "cutscenes" (although the way you handle it the first time it was incredible don't get me wrong!!) along the way it will be beyond the idea of incredible.
On the Crash Bandicoot 2020 campaing (not the older one from 2013, but the one from 2020), there is a box that you can get the mask's invulnerability and that area of effect of it kills commons that come across you, if you can pick that script/line of command/idk what the f__k that is that make that works like that and put on...say, Kitty or other characters from the multiple lores you can actually make him help you during a special event fight on a chapter, for example he being able to move around the map to do a certain task, even though in a simple way, and having that script on it can help players on a dire situation, like a long map with low resources, making the players having to rely on his presence or something like that.
The smileys and other malicious entities being actual enemies that you can shoot, kill or having their own 3d models, again back to the Crash Bandicoot 2020, that campaing made actual enemies out of a very creative (and honestly, very cool looking models despite of their simplicity lol. Making actual enemies with weak points or straight out invulnerabilities or tactics you need to think at the spot not to die in a desperate moment would be also great additions, like you did with the tanks to make the famous chasing scenes from the Backrooms(great touch at the finale chapter btw...when I noticed what was happening I cannot describe the joy I had of that realization that you were able to replicate that with perfect precision on L4D2 LMAO!).
Since you said the next one will be more focused on Dreamcore aesthetics, Idk if this may interest you but you could add also some songs along the way, here are some great playlists I found some time ago:
https://youtu.be/jUsUUQHgNR0?si=TicL0ot57xBWyl4B
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muBwQas3_-U
Some of these songs added on the maps, at least imo, would add a lot to the ambiance, if you don't plan on doing this hey, at least I hope these songs help inspire you on your work and give you a good time at least :))
Cheers mate, really nice meeting you and again I'm honored that you replied to me and better yet was happy with my review!
One last thing, if you want to please take a moment to check the "Recommended mods" list I made for your campaign! I hope you like/approve of them, I don't know if you took the time to play with themed mods on your own campaign but if you didn't I hope this gives you some fun time on it later, plus I really want to know what you think of the list too! I also hope that list gives the people reading all of this a really great themed gameplay on your campaign, I may not have the skills or patience and time to add or help with your work but what I can add to make it better I will try to!
Don't get me wrong, a good jumpscare done right is priceless and eternally in-memorial for all of us, like what Kane Pixels did in his first movie with the Bacteria moment, but not relying on the screaming stuff...man...perfection.
