Make it be able to be seen in first person.

yeah that's mostly it and mostly i just want to see it more up close in the game.

If I understood right you have problem with view model?

As I know, I had some addons that won't let the view model (thing from first person) appear. I just disabled them and view model appeared as planned. Check your addons that creating such error and disable them. Maybe it will help you (I'm not sure) but model is not glitching in normal Gmod.
