I've tested tens of other mods and they don't do that. So I tried enabling the mod, and without pressing the refresh button, just play the game. The game runs and other mods are enabled, but this mod is disabled for some reason.
I was thinking that maybe the quotation mark (") naming convention has something to do with it. I'm a 3D modeler and I work with Maya on MacOS all the time, and whenever I put a spacebar on the name of the folder, Maya somehow freaks out. That's how I came to the conclusion of the possibility of the naming convention being the issue, but I'm not sure.
My recommendation for you is maybe using another mod launcher to see if that launches the mod successfully, or trying to enable the mod again without refreshing the mod list.
However, if you do find out the root cause of this issue, then you could tell me and I could fix it in the mod files.
