Make a special animation for when you cross counter, but die to the damage you took from your opponent. Maybe even let you survive but be 1 hp?

I think you should add a counter for high attacks. I think it should be the gazelle uppercut ippo does. He crouches down low then does an uppercut. I personally think it should let you ONLY combo it with dempsey roll. You could also do mid attacks but it would look like he is getting hit probably depending on what attack the opponent uses which contradicts the gazelle uppercut.

You should give him a second wind ability but make in a way where once he loses all of his hp there will be a ten count and if he gets up he will only come back with an ounce of his max hp and also make it a chance thing where some of the time he gets up before the ten count is over and other times he will stay knocked down and give the opponent the win this probably won't happen but I'm hoping it does though.

so like, ippo's inner light?? I can see how this is unbalanced, but if this was made rare/as an ability you could activate right before death it could MAYBE balance things out

well wonderboy is a boxer. Boxers are all about timing their punches and countering others. Specifically this counter ONLY counters high attacks since cross counters mid attacks too from what I have seen. Also this counter from what I suggested is the one of 2 way to effectively combo with dempsey roll (besides like roll combo) since you could just pop dempsey whenever and do like 20% of the opponents health. This is just a suggestion though you don't have to do it.
could you give him a second finisher? like a rising uper finish? Something like Joe higashi from Fatal Fury please
Could add a cross guard that completely reduces the damage of normal attacks and the specials would give you frame advantage at the cost of a slow guard frame. So it would only work when you're expecting a enemy special or simple a upcoming barrage.
It's best used agains't hooks and uppercuts, meaning that the low guard would suit it better

I think it'll be cool to have a unique throw. A boxer just grabbing and throwing someone across the arena just doesn't feel right lol.

Maybe it could be something like a clinch that leads to a heavily-damage-scaled combo?

These may sound weird, but a good idea could be to implement a mechanic with the momentum and movement as the roll, roll combo, which is like a bar that at the time it is filled, if you do the roll, you can make special moves like the "Cuban hook" or a series of liver punches, and things like that, because if we talk inside the boxing the roll more than a defense technique, it would be a technique to gain speed if it is done correctly and to release blow debatably more powerful because what you do with the roll to be of defense is more than all the "peek-a-boo".
Make his Ghost jab mid step a little bigger, currently the movement for it is useless for entering/exiting situations.

maybe, the movement for ghost jab is very subtle, the point of is it not necessarily an escape tool but a small reposition. this can make it so that sometimes you can actually beat attacks that are 1 frame faster by positioning well as well as just put yourself in a better position overall. while still being relatively safe without giving up offense like you would with backwards footwork
