Why does my weapons take sometimes more damage but some times less damage

So i just got miwas sword, i took 50 damage, now i take 5 damage, can someone help me cus i dont know why it does that

Dmg spread and also maby blackflash or crit

ye but it was 50 and got to 4 damage

The enemies defense could also play a part

he means it said it did 50 damage when hovered over the weapon but when he checked again it does 4

Yea, it randomly was 4 dmg
