I still remember the games where you would be flamed for picking Zeus or going desolator on a ranged Autoattack Hero because:
They gotta grind the moneys!!!
One of the best changes - dont ever revert it! Plzzzzzzzz :-)
Or else go Alch or doom if you want more gold.
I dont think any amount of gold can buy you the stats you get from skipping 7 levels of Dooms "q" skill - im honest though, i didnt try it.
Bottom line - dont pick that skill as Doom! ;)
Guess i have to man up here - i skipped that skill whenever i play him. Beaten Challenger with it! ;)
Do what you have to do, send me to low-prio hell! xD
But i have to admit - i just reread the skill and it is a very good skill.
Still though, i have very specific things in my mind when to pick doom and what i want to achieve with him and ofc. how i build him.
Without those stats, that wouldnt be possible!
Talking about stats - since you seem to be not afraid to change some core aspects of the game, even though you might get some flame for it like in the midas case - have you ever considered removing or reworking the "attribute bonus" on level ups.
As you can probably imagine, i am one of those who abuse them as much as possible.
But i do think that for a number of reasons the "bonus attributes"currently arent a very good mechanic.
They way it works, gettin more stats per point you put in is very counterintuitive for newer players, but also veterans alike.
Very few are aware of the sheer power your Hero gets by skipping his skills, witch in itself is also a dubios gameplay element.
I also think it produces some problems in terms of balance.
Beeing able to have an amount of strenght for example, that is just way higher than what any item that you could possibly afford at that moment in time could give you changes a lot in terms of difficulty.
Health booster on strenght Heros is a very good example on how to maximize the effect of attribute bonuses.
A change like that would effect the game in a lot of ways and would surely be a huge chunk of work, but i think that it may be worth it in the long run.
I am very curious to maybe hear your thoughts about it! :)
