1st thing NG+ was created by recycling the rounds and give the enemy buffs with "Asura Items" unlocked. so the point is not to get hard game btw but fun factor ( ez ) while using "Asura Items". at least this is the conclusion i get when NG+ was born. however, boring is only appear when you invest too much time and done with learning time curve, as you are mature on EBF mech and how to play, you need more challanging gameplay on that, while this doesnt apply to newbie as they still on learning curve. but im totally agree the game mode should seperated into more sub mode. maybe like "casual","hardcore" and "hell mode"?casual is the same as casual without any elites, and hardcore with elites while hellmode maybe elites and back to the origin challanger mode with 1 live. and some changing on how the rounds works like :
1. remove NG+ and put some new rounds with new bosses. NG+ is pointless anyway either people quit or just being too OP as it seem.
2. by doing no 1, we do need some adjustment as asura items are removes and perks, some buff and bring back old or make new items needed to be scaled as the rounds progressing.
3. hell mode argueable to get NG+ to make more hell ish.or maybe with some sort of the mech that make as the game progress the curve also became more challenging, of course with a common senses, not by addding holySh*t factor like unbeatable bosses or 1 shot everything even with highest tier items.
it will give some life span to the game, but it still lack of sense of achivements. for example we can get player ranks on some mod like "Legion TD", if its possible then it will be awesome for player tend to playing more to get some achivements. bottomline is PVE when its finished several time regardless the game title either its AAA or a mod game its became dull and boring, and AAA games try to put extra mode unlocked after you fin it, or titles unlocked,etc to make the game has more span and meaning. maybe it will works or not depend on the community move to which directions.cheer
