The mod doesn't officially support the Multiplayer mod. Some people have gotten it to work, but your mileage may vary.

Shared chat isn't supported officially because this mod is nearly a decade old, and hasn't been formally updated to Twitch's latest apps. Using shared chat may end up with viewers getting responses from all connected chats running the mod.
