i personally enjoy it considering im more of a fan of the flame like matrix / max payne style effects rather then mw2019 / 22 that makes them look like fart clouds

i really like them stylistically but Irl you can only see the gas coming out in daylight outdoor conditions unless its a short barrel

by realistic standards, most guns have little to no muzzle flash in any well-lit area, and flash hiders and suppressors eliminate most of it. even at night, guns aren't exactly flashlights. however, some weapons like high caliber pistols and short-barreled rifles with no muzzle devices can be straight up flamethrowers at night. daytime muzzle flash example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwQJyiKFqhA
