More ranged items and the defensive items vary a lot in quality. Some are balanced and fun (like 100% max hp item), but others are... busted as mentioned in the comments. Perhaps a ranged item that makes it so ranged heroes can take two attacks a turn, or make it so that it gets less attacks and higher armor pen.

Also I LOVE the promotion items to make normal units stronger. More of those would be grand.

• Two attacks/turn (idk if it's possible to only affect ranged weapon, but i'll check)
  
• Add more penetration (with less attacks) => no problem

For the most powerful item, I have already increased the price. But if you think it's not enough, I would take it into consideration.

As for the "promotion" item, there will be a surprise in the next version.

is it possible to make item shops faction specific? the basic item shop is great for melee units and characters... but utter crap for ranged focused factions

You want more ranged item ? As for the faction specific, i don't think the features other than jokaero (ruins and loot system) can be influenced by the faction. It's random.

Could you add some items in that a commander unit would use to buff its allies around but also give them a negative. Example like maybe +2 armor but no movement for allies in range of 1 tile. Another example is a plus 2 cargo slot if possible and some nasty negatives.

There is already some items that buff allies around, but yes i can do it.

As for the cargo slot, you mean for unit transport or items ?

I've run some test and it appear to be impossible to add item slot without editing the unit herself.
It was a good idea but other than grabbing another version of Skirata's mod or modifying the unit files yourself, I can't do anything about it.

Having an item that increases (Or changes which support slot trait they have) would be kind of nice.

Yes, you can edit this by modify the SupportSystems.xml file (Data/World/Traits/Tau) and change the addMax="3" by addMax="4(or more if needed)".

As for an item, i can run some test to see if it's possible.

It's working. I will released two items tied to this effect. A first one (Uncommon) that adds +1 slot and another (Artefact) that adds +2 slot.
