Down Special Unparriable

Was wondering if it was intentional that Mario doesnt get parry stunned for having his down special parried. Down special stage 1 to be more specific

I feel like this should not be the case if so, but would appreciate if its clarified!

i think if you do the 2nd jump he gets stunned
