Current base

When I load an existing database, the whole screen becomes gray and nothing is visible where the small icons of pawns

From uninstalling the original GU1, I presume. You either need to remove the GU1 areas first or use Mid-save saver's corrupt area fix in its mod options. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2921585989
