Mod Integration
To request a new mod integration, please consider using the Mod Integration Request description template on git, as it will help you to provide me with the information needed to prioritize these changes, as well as provide a tracker to ensure the task gets reviewed:
https://gitlab.com/Ghost.Data/life-lessons/-/issues/new

Alternatively, you may create a new thread using the below format as a template on steam. Steam requests will always have a lower priority simply due to the fact that they aren't tracked, but they will be reviewed.

Exact URL: {Steam or git url to the mod to be integrated}
What integration is needed: {new backstories, recipes, worktypes? Something else?}
Is the mod currently updated to the most recent Rimworld version: yes/no
Are there presently game-breaking incompatibilities: {only "yes" if the use of both mods in the same load order causes game-breaking issues or significantly diminishes the standalone experience one or both mods.

What won't be integrated
- Any mods that implement substantially similar features - such as a mod that adds a similar layer of "personal knowledge"
- Magic mods - Life Lessons is grounded firmly in the sci-fi setting of Rimworld. High fantasy style magic mods cannot have a meaningful application of proficiencies without either breaking the believability threshold or a substantial overhaul of the proficiency system.
- Mods with no or very low quality English translations - If I cannot read or understand the recipes and backstories, I cannot meaningfully patch the mod

Would be interesting to see some kind of learning required for stuff from A Rimworld of Magic.

integration with any of the books mods to "learn" would be helpful
Also improved integration with Rimdeed to "hire" teachers of certain skill. (looks like they all spawn with just basics at the moment

Integration with RPG style level up mod, like say the higher the INT stat, the faster you learn proficients?

I can't speak to Rimdeed - it's new to me. Looks like it lets you hire pawns from other factions. In theory it should already be "compatible" with life lessons in that if you happen to find a shipwright for hire, they will be able to teach you ship building. The only tie in that is probably missing there is the inability to see their proficiencies until hired. Will consider it as a future integration. We won't be altering what any of the for-hire pawns know, however.

Life Lessons will have it's own books. Integrating with another mod that adds them would make the system too fragile.

I've never looked at that one before. I can take a look for future integration, but the short of it is: If they haven't provided a good public facing API, I don't plan to work very hard to work around the fact.

Integration with Ambition of the Cosmic and all sub mods of it. Like say items that instantly make you master any proficiency.
