Terrarium armor and summons.
Apparently using whips while wearing the terrarium armor set sets the focus to "no focus".
Is this intended or a bug, since losing 3 summons(or more) when whipping is a massive dps loss if nothing else.
It might be i don't have enough summon accessories on so it flip flops because of that.

Post your current loadout so I can replicate. In the meantime, equip a summoner emblem or something that increases minion slots.

It seems the issue was what I thought about at the end of my post.
I simply had too many conflicting accessories.
My loadout at the time was :
Terrarium armor.
Morning star and Terrarium enigma staff.
And the assorted(and conflicting) accessories:
Terrspark boots.
Yoyobag.
Dragon talon necklace
Hand of creation
A pair of dev wings.
Ankh shield.
I'll leave this here in case there's something that really is causing issues, but i doubt that seeing as how my issue seems fixed now.

yeah its going to have a difficult time giving you summoner focus when you have nothing that gives any summoner related stats. And the fallback for held item class detection doesn't really make sense for summoner since the bonus slots go away as soon as you swap weapons
