Calorie Fix
42.12 Calorie Breakdown
Alright lets start with the methodology. I used the long stretch of left to right pavement in Echo Creek called Frog Jump Road. I used debug and set my calories to 3700 for each trip and paused when i got to the other side. Each run was done at least twice with some being run 3 or 4 times if there was variance in the runs.

Walking: 139 no calorie mod, 49 with the calorie fix mod
Jogging lv0 running: 120 no calorie mod, 119 with the calorie fix mod
Jogging lv10 running: 96 no calorie mod, 97 with the calorie fix mod
Sprinting lv0 running: 133 no calorie mod, 132 with the calorie fix mod
Sprinting lv10 running: 103 no calorie mod, 104 with the calorie fix mod

As you can see the values did vary by around 1 calorie plus or minus on the runs, almost certainly because i didn't stand on or end on the same pixel each time. That's why i used such a long stretch of road to minimize it's impact on the values.

All that said, note that without the mod walking costs more calories than flat out sprinting at every level of running with jogging being the most efficient. With the mod walking is significantly more cost effective on calories. An interesting finding i wasn't expecting was that both jogging and sprinting use similar amounts of calories for the same distance. Was not expecting that. So basically the only downside to sprinting is the stamina cost. It doesn't burn nearly the kinda calories we might have expected just from intuiting it.

I for one will continue to use this mod as walking costing more calories than a flat out sprint is laughable to me.

Thanks for testing. Surprised devs still think that was a good change.. But good to know my mod is still useful.
