The"Day and Night" setting in AI Detection Module, doesn't have any obvious result.
The "Day and Night setting" doesn't have any obvious result once the game is started, because as said the mod releaser -@Husam al-Muradi this setting is responsible for AI detection range at night. Based on this, a value of 0.0 should deprive the AI of vision at night, but this does not happen.

I had several tests without any other AI mods and each time the AI detected player or other AI, even at serious ranges.

Test 1.

I Set "Day and Night" to 0.0, I put myself and positioned an enemy AI squad at a distance of 150-200 meters. Set night, but the enemy detected me, even with Crouch, while moving slowly.

Test 2.

I Set "Day and Night" to 0.0, Put the AI sniper + Spotter (both Aware mode, in prone) and set the enemy squad walking down the road at a distance of 400-450 meters, set time to deep night. After that, the AI sniper and Spotter instantly will spot the enemy squad and killed everyone just as instantly.

Each user can repeat this and draw their own conclusion.
My logical conclusion that suggests Itself:

Tests show that "Day and Night" is miscalibrated, or doesn't work at all, or is not <vision range> of AI vision at night. If this were the vision range of the AI's vision at night, then at 0.0 the AI must to be blind.

Author of @CF_BAI, please give us an explanation and make a normal/true description for each mod setting

Unfortunately, the third test showed me that no CF_BAI settings at all have an obvious result, at least for AI night detection.

Here is the Repro:

1) set to CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/NVGs as 0.0
2) set CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/Safe chance to 0.0
3) set to CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/Safe Knowledge as 0.0
4) put in the Altis two opposing AIs, without NVG, in Safe mode, 100-150 m between each other
5) set night time 0:00
6) put yourself as civilian
7) start the game. You will see that they will still see each other, after several seconds, even at a distance of > 100 m! A battle will begin in which they will still be able to accurately shoot and kill each other, Lol!

I'm sad, I thought I came across a mod that allows you to customize AI night vision to your liking, but its settings just don't work:(

@Husam al-Muradi I have found interesting details that may be useful for every user of CF_BAI.

When I disabled completely all mods (not only AI mods) I saw that one of the CF_BAI settings, I mentioned above still worked and the other didn't. Probably, before one of my non-AI mods had an some impact.I will try to describe my observations. All tests are made without mods, only vanilla game + CF_BAI.

1) Setting AI detection without NVG (CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/NVGs) will works:

If you set - CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/NVGs as 0.0 then AI without NVG will not see the enemy. It works 100%, even when I put two AI opponents at a distance of several meter in the deep night, they did not see each other. Good result, it means that the CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/NVGs settings are working.

2) Settings of AI detection with NVG (Day & Night + all other), not will works:

if set -

CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/Safe chance to 0.0
CF_BAI_Detect/AI Detect/Safe Knowledge as 0.0
Environment Condition/Day and Night as 0.0

Equip NVG and put two AIs on the night map in safe mode, then they will still detect each other even at distanse > 100m. This proves that zeroing the parameters does not give an obvious result. The game just doesn't see these settings, the NVG AI keeps detecting the enemy. When testing, I waited (> 30 sec) for all functions to run.

So my conclusion - Setting of AI detection range without NVG will have an impact on the game, Settings of AI detection with NVG will have no effect on the game.

@Husam al-Muradi The mod works only partially. I haven't tested the rest of the detection features. If you're interested, let me know and I'll do more tests.
