I've found a fix for crashing games.

1) If your game crashes on the 10th hour of the 3rd of July for example, make a save one hour before the crash date and restart the game.
2) Open your save and and pause the game on the exact hour on which the game crashes (this requires a lot of precision since you dont know in which second the game crashes)
3) Make a new save and restart the game again.
4) Open the save with the exact hour and you should be fine.

Note: only works for those whose games crash on a random date.
