Sorry for the late answer, I don't get notifications about the discussions here sadly.
As for your first point I think I removed the exhaustion in a recent update.
The none Dinosaurs from the general expeditions are mostly there to allow more countries to perform paleontology and get some skeletons as well. I therefore had to choose animals that were common everywhere which are mostly animals that live in the sea. That's why those are skeletons in particular, while others aren't.
I plan to make some fancy museum GUI at some point but that would require a lot of work, especially with either 3D or 2D and as we are only two developers we are short on manpower there.
As for the Exotic animals: The ones from Australia can often be accquired on Pacific expeditions. I will however look into the smuggling again.
