I'm not gunna defend the caricatures of Australians in the TF universe but they didn't just do it to Australians. All of the characters in the game go with some theme to them. I don't think of the French as a bunch of backstabbing cowards because of Spy, and neither do I think of Russians as being big, dumb (heavy is actually quite smart), and supercommies. Honestly, Soldier's portrayal of Americans could be considered the most 'racist' thing about the game. His patriotism to intellgence ratio is rather substantial.
