Bug; info panel natural resources
Hi,
I have a problem with showing available resources in the "Natural Resources" panel with some maps.
I see the normal different colors for resources (typical yellow for fertile land, etc.) but the info panel does not show how many resources are available/used.
I did as instructed: No other Mods except Harmony and the Vanilla/Core "Mod" "unlock all" for obvious reasons (not even skyve, patch loader or LSM subscribed/enabled).
The log file is attached - its two parts (upload site has 1MB restriction without subscription; the log file is ~1.5MB). FYI i have no dlc

I tried to narrow down the problem:

Always creating a New Game ; i tried the first 3 Vanilla/core maps (Black Woods, Cliffside Bay, Diamond Coast) and also 3 Workshop maps ("Tenasi River" - the oldest i have (8 years old); "The Last Bay" - the newest i have (1 month old); "King's Bay" the one i am currently using/playing

Results:
Black Woods(V) No problems
Cliffside Bay(V) problem: available/used resources not showing
Diamond Coast(V) No problems
Tenasi River(W) problem: available/used resources not showing
The Last Bay(W) No problems
King's Bay(W) problem: available/used resources not showing


So 2 Vanilla/Core Maps and 1 Workshop Map have no problems
and 1 Vanilla/Core Map and 2 Workshop Maps have problems

It goes without saying that if i don't use this 81 Tiles 2 Mod all maps work and all available/used resources can be seen in the panel.
To me this is conclusive evidence that this mod is the culprit for the bug. If you find the time and Will to correct it, you have my gratitude, else thanks anyways for all the work put into it thus far!

Final remarks: Fearing that this mod could break my new city (fear caused bc of my ignorance of how this Mod works) i do have a finale question:
Is this bug only a "display/UI" problem or are the resources present on the map and usable, but they are simply not displayed/evaluated in the info panel?
If the latter , is it "safe" to use the mod?

Your log shows that you're encountering errors with other mods. Please reproduce the issue with ONLY 81 Tiles 2, Harmony, and Loading Screen Mod Revisited subscribed and then repost the logs.

This is impossible/strange. As stated, I made sure that when i posted the Log files -- i was unsubscribed from all Mods except 81 Tiles 2, Harmony and the Vanilla "Unlock All"!
Maybe i only "excluded" the mods in Skyve instead of unsubscribed.
(whats the point of exclude if it doesn't function as "unsubscribe"...?)

Anyways, this time i am 100% sure i am unsubscribed from all mods except 81,harmony,LSM,patch loader mod,Skyve,"UnlockAll"!

What i did: I run 6 restart/new games with 3 maps. same 3 maps with 81 and same 3 maps without 81.

Results with 81 Mod:
Black Woods - Vanilla No problem
Cliffside Bay - Vanilla problem: available/used resources not showing
King's Bay - Workshop problem: available/used resources not showing

Results without 81 Mod:
Black Woods - Vanilla No problem
Cliffside Bay - Vanilla No problem
King's Bay - Workshop No problem

Excluding with Skyve is fine, but those other mods weren't excluded at the time you ran. Did you have 81 Tiles 2 enabled when you generated those logs?

to recap:
The first time i posted the LOG-Files, i am 100% sure i excluded all the other mods with skyve, but i am not 100% sure if i also unsubscribed from them.

The second time i posted the logs i am 100% sure i unsubscribed (_automatically_ excluded from skyve) from all mods except 81,harmony,patch loader,lsm,skyve and unlock all (core Mod). I first tested with 81 mod enabled to reproduce the bug and then to double check i disabled/unsubscribed from 81 to be sure i wouldn't get the bug. Possibly _after_ that (with 81 UN-subscribed), i posted the log files.

So this time, here is what i did:
I loaded CS:1 5 times testing 2 Maps "Cliffside Bay"(Vanilla) & "King's Bay"(Workshop).
Test 1&2 with 6 Mods subscribed (with 81),
Test 3&4 with 5 Mods subscribed (without 81),
then last Test again with 6 Mods (with 81) subscribed

Same results:
with 81 subscribed -> info panel available resources bug / not showing used/available
without 81 subscribed -> no bug

BUT then something strange happened (At least to me):

After i did the last 5th run/test (with 81 subscribed) i wanted to post the LOG Files , but i noticed it was 12 MB big and not the usual ~1.5MB.

So I made a copy of the 12MB log file, I deleted the log file, I rebooted the PC, I restarted a New CS:1 game (same King's Bay Map) with 6 Mods (with 81), I verified that i got the info panel Bug and looked at the "new" LOG-File: it's the usual ~1.5MB file size.

....geeez , to me this is really strange...

anyway - what LOG-Files do you want?

after 5th run with info panel bug, with 6 Mods (with 81 Mod) but 12MB big or with rebooted PC
after 6th run with info panel bug and with 6 Mods (with 81 Mod) ~1.5MB

Have you verified your game files? Neither myself nor another tester can reproduce your issue.

Yes i have! Ok so what do we do now? I made a desperate try and run a new game with all mods enabled but not "unlock all" vanilla mod and made a "worthy village" where "resources" gets unlocked, but nothing.

I hope you dont need "evidence" that this bug is real. Without 81 tiles 2 i dont have it, we did the tests.
What can i do?
Dont ask me to reinstall the game, bc this aint gonna happen for at least some weeks ( no good internet connection where i am now)

I honestly don't know. Nobody else has this issue, and nobody can reproduce it, so it's obviously very specific to your system.

BTW, simply removing one mod to toggle an issue doesn't acually mean that it's caused by that mod, and actually quite often isn't the case (usually what happens is that there's a bug an another mod that's only exposed when the first mod is active).

There's not much more I can do at this point unless you're willing to test on a clean setup (no mods, no custom assets) and provide me the output logs. Otherwise you'll just have to accept that you've got a bug in your setup somewhere that prevents you from using some mods.

I use this mod i have a bug, i don't use this mod i don't have a bug...and you say some other not "active" mod (not subscribed/enabled) is causing the bug - sure i believe you , but it sure doesn't sound familiar...

A pity this 81 tiles mod is not "resistant to inactive mods"

I point out that over seven hundred thousand users don't have the issue that you have, nor are over a dozen highly experienced testers able to reproduce it.

So, yes, regardless of your personal opinion, the empirical evidence is quite clear, and it appears that you're not willing to accept that or perform the steps necessary to resolve it.

Feel free to let me know here if you ever change your mind.

Hello. I came across this issue with the natural resources tab as well. When i buy a new tile, sometimes the resource units are not updating. But it is so weird. Some tiles do not have problems. I played Windblowing Coast for instance and always the same tile did not update the units in the resource tab. i Dont know how to solve this?!

What other mods are you using? Please link your output log or Skyve report.
