there's no download link, i guess this is what they said when you need basic lua knowledge.

turns out im just an idiot.
the github link contains everything. click the code button and click download.
put the folders where they belong eg. lua into the gmod lua folder.
then edit the config file inside the lua folder. hopefully that would work because i need to test it

it didnt work... this is very interesting

no hate the maker of the mod but i wished they told us where to put the files because it just feels like a guessing game for me rn

i looked in all the folders and couldnt find it, so i think it creates one for a server or something

Then where is it then? I put it in a area that said "lua" but the edits I made didnt work.

ok so i actually figured out a way to customized it in a decently easy way ig, all you need is notepad++ and GMpublisher
basically you go to gmpublisher go to your installed addons and then you find the doors mod and extract it to a folder, you edit the config and then save it w/ notepad++ and after you do that copy the file location and basically upload the mod to urself, thats how i got mine to work

I made a comment already about this, but put the entirety of the folder containing the files in your addons folder and make sure you don't have the workshop version subscribed to. This way your config won't be overwritten every time this updates. You can also do it the way the author stated, put the config file in your lua folder.

I don't recommend tossing it into your lua folder though because it could create conflicts. Just download the zip file, unzip it to a folder, place it in your addons folder, go into the files and edit where applicable.
