"Darkness" and "Obscure" psycasts from Nightstalker tree are bugged
Using only DLCs, Harmony, Vanilla Expanded Framework and Vanilla Psycasts Expanded.

"Darkness" makes area Dark (0%) until map/save is reloaded.

Recreation:
1. Find lit area.
2. Cast "Darkness" psycast on it.
3. Wait until it dissapears.
4. The area now Dark (0%) no matter the sun or light sources around. Reloading map/save fixes it.


"Obscure" psycast doesn't do anything and throws red error.

Recreation:
1. Find Dark or Lit area.
2. Cast "Obscure" psycast in each.
3. Nothing happens no matter the light level around the pawns. Also throws red error in console upon casting it.

This happen to me today, idid not understand why, i have not tried "obscure" but darkness causes that for me it stays dark and you need to like reset, i kind of like it that stays dark but of course its a bug as it stays till you reset
Happening to me to. I thought that the reason obscure wasn't working was from mod incompatability, and the darkness one is really annoying because I keep having to use it inside.
It's happening to me as well. Has anyone found an explanation for this?

As far as I know - this happens because VPE uses a custom version of HediffComp_Invisibility, which VFECore.Abilities isn’t fully compatible with.
That’s why casting invisibility abilities (like VPE_Obscured) causes InvalidCastException. Even without RocketMan or Optimizer, this will still happen — it’s a structural mismatch between the two mods.
TLDR: Vanilla psycasts expansion seems to have compatible issue with Vanilla expanded core mod.

any luck with this yet?? I wasnt aware of the issue and used Obscure and it made all my pawns in the area around the user invisible but with no effect so I couldnt see where they were without finding their floating name. the area is still "stuck" like that too. anything that wonders into the area is affected and one of my pawns is stuck there
