RV Interior

I can enter RV interior with old and new way
So I can enter into the RV using the old way of switching seats and being prompted to enter, but when I do, it gives me a message to use v1.2 and when I exit it will teleport me to a random RV.

I can also enter with the radial menu and get no message like the above and exit where I previously was.

This is on a dedicated multiplayer server. The singleplayer version isn't loaded and I'm only using the new multiplayer version (v1.2). However for some reason I can enter the RV using both methods of the old and new way.

Anyone know of a fix for this?

That certainly sounds like the legacy version is loaded. When you say it isn't, what have you done to verify that?

I only have RV_Interior_MP enabled. However now that I think about it, could both the new and old version have the same name? If that's the case, then how do I enable just the new version on a dedicated server?

There were some folder renames, so perhaps that's fouling things up. I'm not sure how to admin a dedicated server, but if you can, check inside the folder where this mod is installed on the machine.

For workshop item 2822286426, the mods should be RV_Interior (with a mod.info with id=RV_Interior_MP) and RV_Interior_Legacy (with a mod.info with id=RV_Interior). There used to be RV_Interior_MP folder, which had the old version of the multiplayer mod (also id=RV_Interior_MP) - perhaps that's still present?

So I tried reinstalling the entire mod to make sure the old files weren't there and it looks like this bug persists.

Folder structure looks like this: https://i.gyazo.com/b2ad3db04611543d78aa898c8eb6e5d2.png

Mod info is this: https://i.gyazo.com/fab8b094498ee169c7d65a0ad1ccd3b9.png

@RJ that folder structure looks correct.

You need to check your server's .ini file, and ensure that the "mods" config line contains "RV_Interior_MP" and *not* "RV_Interior".

I've double checked it and just triple checked it now, only RV_Interior_MP is enabled.

@RJ just to be sure, could you have a look in `RV_Interior/media/lua/client` and confirm that it doesn't have any of the old files? The new mod does not have any vehicle-specific files on the client side - there should just be two files in the lua client directory, `rvInteriorClient.lua` and `Rv_adminMenu.lua`

Confirmed, those are the only two files present in the directory you mentioned.

Just a shot in the dark, but the workshop ID didn't change by any chance right? I'm thinking that if it did change then maybe the old files are hanging around in a different folder, the old workshop ID's folder that is.

@RJ No, the workshop ID didn't change with version 1.2. But you certainly seem have some old files hanging around somewhere.

You've checked both your machine's downloaded Steam workshop items, and the mods saved on the server?

Another thought, you don't have a modpack with RV Interior in it somewhere?

@RJ You can try deleting your local save cache, that resolved this issue for me once or twice. Further info can be found in the comments section for the mod.

@Starlight "local save cache" is a little ambiguous. I think you mean the location where Steam downloads mod content? But RJ has confirmed that the contents of the mod folder under 108600\2822286426 are as expected, at least as far as the spot checks we've done.

Afaik there isn't a modpack with RV Interiors in it, I can check though.

Also aren't the downloaded mods and mods saved on the server the one and the same? At least that's what I thought.

Yeah I already tried this.

If you're running a locally-hosted PZ server, the workshop items for servers are saved in a different place to normal. They're stored under the PZ Steam installation directory, with a structure that mirrors the normal workshop location. For example, on my machine, my client's workshop items are saved to "D:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600", whereas the server's workshop items are saved to "D:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\steamapps\workshop\content\108600"
