That's reasonable! I am so happy that you have tried. Initially I though through a planetary decision would better because it's locally impacting on the game rather than with an edict or alternatively with an entry in a mod menu like https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2458024521 but I have a gasp how interconnected it is. I mean the planetary screen hasn't been designed having sorting building in mind.
So it's doesn't bother me not being able to sort the buildings on existing colonies and at least it works on new planets.
Nevertheless I really appreciate your effort. Have a nice week. :)
There are some limitations which are of note:
1. It does not sort buildings on planets you don't own, however any new planets you "acquire" will be sorted the next time the save is loaded.
2. It does not sort holdings or branch office buildings, this is something I might look into in future, but was a little more than I wanted to tackle right now.
3. If you don't have a patch (e.g. You have ACOT, but not the STB - ACOT patch) your ACOT buildings will be sorted on save load, but any new buildings will not be sorted. The patch fixes this of course.
