I've seen that lots of questions are being asked all across the playermodels making it harder to keep track of, so from now on if you have any questions and you'd like them to be answered, please ask them here as I won't be responding to questions on the actual playermodel pages as much.



Q: Are you going to add X?

A: If they're in Punch-Out Wii, then I most likely will at some point, yes. Characters that have only been seen as 2D sprites in the other games, like Piston Hurricane or Mad Clown for example, are unlikely to be made as I don't believe I have the necessary 3D modelling skills nor artistic talent to make a satisfactory custom model for them.


Q: Make X next (not really a question but I see this quite a lot)

A: Please refer to the priority list.


Q: Port models from the game X

A: Only if I actually care about said game enough to make a model for it. If I don't really care, then I probably won't make a model for it.


Q: How did you get the models?

A: Either from Illuminati Dad's ripped Punch-Out Wii models collection on Google Drive[drive.google.com], or by using Switch Toolbox[github.com] and extracting them using a dump of the game.


Q: Why does it take so long to make the models?

A: You can't rush art. I often leave a few gap months between models so I'm not literally just rigging Punch-Out models for extended periods of time. I don't want to get burned out by this. Also I'm working on a few other things and I have less spare time than before so this is much less of a priority now.


Q: When will the next model come out?

A: I want to make this as clear as possible: This collection has ZERO schedule. I literally just make these, when I feel like it. If you don't like that or are impatient with it, then I'm sorry but you will either have to port the models yourself or find another person to do it. I don't want to make it seem like I'm the only person who can ever upload Punch-Out playermodels to the workshop, if anyone else wants to "take the torch" as it were then I'd be 100% fine with that. The main reason I started doing this (aside from the ratings achievements) was because there were no Punch-Out playermodels on the workshop before. The more, the merrier.


Q: Can you fix bug X?

A: If I can I will. But this is the Source engine and it is haunted by demons and outdated tutorial videos. Various issues plague the models already, I'm aware of issues with eyes and cubemaps, but I don't know how to fix them.
