Should have checked here first, but yeah facing a similar problem. The kiln is unable to be anchored or worked with.

So try this. Have the Kiln in your inventory, then use the building menu and place it down. Should work now. Worked for me.

how do you get the clay to build kiln? The materials dont pop up in build menu and I've read the pottery textbook? on MP dedicated server I made for friends.

You need clay to build a kiln.

So, in the build menu, it is not a recipe to build it, you build it through the crafting menu, and once you build it, then you place it down with the building menu.

I'm having a worse time with kiln. I can't make charcoal and molds for casting. Kiln is not available in craft helper, red and gray clay is not in the list, but they are in the inventory in the right amount and matches / lighter / magnivo are present in the inventory, they also do not appear in the list of craft helper items. I tried to craft in debug, in the empty inventory of the character I added all the items for crafting charcoal and molds for casting. Craft helper, the crafting menu doesn't see them, and neither does kiln.

Try reinstalling the mod, could be broken.

i have some similar issue. I cant see my kiln ou tar kiln. When i build then from building menu they dont show any texture in the square that he was built. It is there, but i cant see .
