You can't make charcoal from logs and stuff
Serious problem - you can not create charcoal. Doesn't see ingredients in recipes. Does not flash white. Sorry - I'm using a translator.

Have you built your kiln? You can no longer just drop it on the ground, you need to build is using: Right-click in the world > Building > Kiln. You can then select which tile to build it on. You need a hammer on you, I think. Once you've done that you should be able to make charcoal. Tip: make sure to put work gloves on to reduce the chance of being burned.
